The footsteps of Korean believers continued abroad in Malaysia. Lee Don-hee, Chairman of the World Challenge Foundation and CEO of The Korea Senior Citizens Newspaper, recently visited a Korean Catholic church in Malaysia, where he attended Sunday Mass and shared a meaningful time with the local Korean faith community. On that day, the church bulletin board displayed the “Weekly Parish News” along with various announcements and guidance for parishioners, reflecting the well-organized structure of the community’s religious life. Notably, although the church building is relatively new, it has grown into a vibrant congregation of approximately 500 members, drawing particular attention. After the Mass, Chairman Lee met with Fr. Joseph Lee Gi-beom, the parish priest, and engaged in a warm conversation. They shared insights on the role of Korean Catholic churches abroad and the importance of faith-based communities. The parish operates without assistant priests or nuns, relying instead on strong community participation—an example of the voluntary devotion and commitment of Korean parishioners overseas. Chairman Lee remarked,

In addition, the 11 a.m. main Mass was co-celebrated by Fr. Paul Kim Byung-hwan, the parish priest of the Korean Catholic Church in Cebu, Philippines, who was specially invited. Together with Fr. Joseph Lee Gi-beom, he presided over the Mass and also administered the Sacrament of Confession before and after the service.
